CATT Arezzo 2023 was conceived as an immersive training environment for advanced actors and theatre-makers committed to structured inquiry. Set within the historic and culturally rich landscape of Arezzo, the intensive created a focused studio context where methodology, ensemble practice, and intercultural dialogue could unfold without distraction.
Participants engaged in daily laboratory sessions emphasizing spatial precision, vocal clarity, and collaborative exploration. The program integrated practical studio investigation with reflective discussion, allowing performers to deepen both embodied practice and conceptual understanding.
CATT Arezzo 2023 functioned not as a standalone workshop, but as part of CATT’s ongoing international research trajectory — extending a sustained investigation into performance structure and actor-centered development.

CATT Arezzo 2023 unfolded across six intensive studio sessions, each structured to deepen actor awareness, ensemble precision, and methodological investigation. The program combined foundational physical training with advanced performance études drawn from classical narratives, including Herakles and Hekuba.
Daily sessions began with structured physical alignment work — neutral stance, breath integration, and roll-down sequences — establishing clarity of presence and spatial awareness. From this base, participants engaged in progressive concentration systems, rhythm studies, vocal exploration, and movement-based ensemble exercises.
A visual record of laboratory work, rehearsal processes, and international collaborations.
